Hello, and welcome to MasterWoks Dog Adoption! Our owner, Chloe Laethem has loved dogs and has grown up with them in her home since she was born. When she was a teenager she loved to dogsit, take care of family and friends dogs, and go to the shelter near her home. When she got older she started seeing all the shelters that were overflowing with dogs, and she knew something needed to be done about it. So in 2021, she started her own adoption place! And wow, look how much it has grown!
We take in any dog that needs a place to stay before getting adopted by a wonderful family. Our employees are out everyday picking up dogs old and young from the streets. We have so many wonderful dogs of all ages in the shelter that would love to find their home! If you want to go check out the dogs we have right now go to our Dogs page!
Dogs
From Golden Reteivers, Chihuahuas, Beagles, Rotweilers, and Dobermans, we have them all! Taking care of our yougest 8 week old dalmation, to our oldest 16 year old Maltiese is the greatest joy we have. No dog is uncared for in our shelter and we make sure of it. All the dogs here come from abandoned homes, the streets, or from familes that cannot take care of them anymore. While we love to have them here, these dogs need a real home.
What are you looking for? A small dog or big dog? We have both! Do you want a hypoallergenic or one with fur? We have both of those as well! Do you know what breed you like? Don't worry, we got you covered with that too! We have over 50 dog breeds in our shelter and we can find the perfect match for you! Adoption
When you come into our shelter we will love to help you find a dog that is perfect for you! You CANNOT pick a dog out on our website and go through the adoption process online. However, you can request to see a specific dog and and adoption form online if you would like. But the whole process will be in person. You can find that information on our Contact page. We want to meet you in person and make sure the dog is going home with the right person. We also want for you meet the dog in person to make sure they are the right fit for you. We are very careful about who we pick to adpot the dog. We want to make sure you are happy as well as the dog.
When you, our employees, and the dog decide to go forward with the adoption process, we will ask you for a few things. A form of identification, (drivers license, passport, birth certificate, etc), and a previous record of owning a dog (if this is your first time owning a dog and don't have this, that's okay! If you don't have this form we will just ask you a few simple questions). The last thing we will ask you for is a downpayment of $200 which is included in the price you will see. After the form is filled out, we will keep the dog for up at a week so you can get stuff ready around your house, or you can take them home with you that day!
